Now that you have the center thingie out, take the very sharp thingie and cut out the rest of the top.

Don't let the blade slip at any time as it may cut the plastic sides.

Do not apply any more pressure than that which you would want if the blade were run across the back of your knuckles.

This picture shows the top removed from the sides and the navel thingie removed from the center. Of the thingie.

Set this aside, you may use it later to seal up leaks.

Make sure the center thingie is nice and round, you can shape it with sandpaper if you have caloused leathery hands.
